West Coast Experience
West Coast Flower (Full Day) Tour
This tour is only offered in the months of August and September.
Suggested departure time from your hotel or guest house: 09h00
En route to the spectacular west coast, we stop at Evita se Perron’ famous station in Darling for coffee, or…..for a wine tasting at a winery in the same area.
Our drive through the West Coast Park, will take us to Postberg, a contracted park only open for the flower display each year.
The park is unique, because, in addition to the floral diversity, there are several antelope species, and zebra that roam the daisy fields.
On a fine day, the picnic lunch (included) can be enjoyed overlooking the daisies AND the ocean!
If we leave the park early enough, sometimes our tour can include a stop at SANCCOB, a facility built to assist coastal birds to recover from oil slicks and injuries sustained from fishing nets etc.
Return to your hotel/guest house before 6pm.
Day Trip Prices are as follows:
Driver Guide with vehicle rate R1850. A picnic lunch can be arranged.
Please note: Entry fees to the West Coast National Park are not included.
Visit: www.south-north.co.za/flowers
We strongly recommend that you spend one night in this area because there is so much to see. We suggest accommodation on a third generation South African farm close to the Berg River.
Prolific birdlife, sheep, ostrich and springbok. Sunset river cruises for parties of up to 20. Gourmet cuisine prepared by the owners.
An overnight stay in this part of the country is a wonderful introduction to true West Coast Hospitality.
