Garden Route Tours II

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS FOR GARDEN ROUTE TOURS

If you are on holiday and you have the time to add a day or two to your Garden Route Tour, let us recommend to you:

Spend the first night at Aquila Safari Lodge near Touws River, or at the Lord Milner Hotel in Matjiesfontein - steeped in history; or at a Five-Star Guest House in quaint Prince Albert village, before crossing South Africa's most breathtaking mountain pass, The Swartberg.

The best months to do this extension is April, May, June, September and October. The Karoo gets VERY HOT from November onwards.

Then continue with your Garden Route tour as per our original itinerary, at Oudtshoorn, visiting the cheetah reserve, the ostrich ranches and the Cango Caves.

In the warm Cape Summer, you can extend your Garden Route trip with an overnight at Botlierskop Game Reserve near Mossel Bay (which is always a huge hit)......OR......extend by overnighting in romantic Arniston so that you can explore the Southern Tip of Africa.

For Steam Train enthusiasts, we can include the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe on your itinerary.

This train runs daily between the Garden Route towns of Mossel Bay and George. It is the longest running narrow gauge steam train in the world.

Enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery for this 2 hour journey. We will collect you from George station or Mossel Bay whichever way the tour runs.
