Day 1
Starting in Johannesburg or Pretoria your journey eastward will take you across the rolling grasslands of the Highveld towards the majestic east Drakensberg Mountains. Drive through the well-known trout fishing towns of Belfast, Dullstroom and Lydenberg to begin the climb over the famous Long Tom Pass amongst the finest scenery in the country. From over 2000 metres the road winds down through cool forests of Pine and Eucalyptus trees to the picturesque town of Sabie. Continue onto the old gold mining village Pilgrim’s Rest where we will use the afternoon to explore the century old town. Overnight in the famous Royal Hotel.

Day 2
After a hearty breakfast we take a scenic drive to the Kruger national park via the Panorama route and Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the scenic Blyde Canyon Overnight at one of the Kruger Camps.

Day 3
Early coffee and rusks before the excitement begins with camera at the ready, hoping to find Lion and other species, such as Giraffe, Elephant, Rhino, Zebra and antelope .We have a bush brunch at waterhole or campsite. We arrive at the rest camp for dinner and overnight. As the sun sets, sip a sundowner while anticipating your spotlight night drive in an open vehicle conducted by a park ranger, searching for the various nocturnals.

Day 4
Another early wake up call before sunrise and then game viewing and a chance to find those elusive animals you have missed. After breakfast and some final photos it’s time to leave the park and on to the Thornybush game reserve where we will accompany the game rangers on a open game drive into the night. Overnight at Tangala lodge

Day 5
After an early morning cup of coffee we accompany the game rangers of Tangala on an open vehicle game drive. On completion of our morning game drive and breakfast we proceed on the journey back to Johannesburg.

Day 1

After lunch a scenic drive to The Kruger national park via Hazyview. Overnight in the park with a traditional braai

Day 2

We arrive at the rest camp for dinner and overnight. As the sun sets, sip a sundowner while anticipating your spotlight night drive (optional) in an open vehicle conducted by a park ranger, searching for the various nocturnals.

Day 3
Another early wake up call before sunrise and then game viewing and a chance to find those elusive animals you have missed. After breakfast and some final photos it’s time to leave the park and head for Johannesburg to arrive at approximately 17h00.
Brief Checklist for Guests:
Anti – malaria tablets prior to visiting Kruger National Park Area.
Warm Jacket for evening drives.
Cool casual, lightweight clothing
Walking shoes, hat, sunglasses, camera and binoculars.

A Kruger National Park Tour for the Adventurous , a walk in the bush with a game ranger to see animals close-up and intimate, night drives and Braais ( BBQ)

Day 1
Our road safari starts with an early departure for the province where the sun rises “Mpumalanga”. We travel through the open areas of the Highveld descending into the Lowveld via the tunnel at Waterval Boven .We follow the Elands river valley through Nelspruit. After lunch we enter the Kruger National Park at the Malelane gate .The afternoon is spent on a game drive making our way to Pretoriuskop where we have dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Up before dawn to get our walking shoes ready as we join up with one of the park rangers and a tracker .Off on foot for 4 hours we track all the animals that can be found. See the animals close up and on foot. After returning a well-deserved brunch is taken under the SA skies. A refreshing swim or “siesta” is taken to get rid of those tired aching limbs. Late afternoon we join the game rangers for an evening drive trying to find those elusive nocturnal animals. On returning, a great SA dinner is enjoyed under the stars. Overnight Pretoriuskop.

Day 3
An early departure for our last game drive on route to the Kruger gate, from where we proceed to Graskop for breakfast. We visit the Panorama route, Gods window, Blyde Canyon, Bourke’s luck potholes and Pilgrims Rest on our way back to Johannesburg. Arriving late afternoon.
