Pilanesberg Game Reserve

Pilanesberg Tour

Pilanesberg National Park

When in Johannesburg or Pretoria on business, we recommend a trip to the Pilanesberg Park …

The Pilanesberg is about 2 hours drive from Johannesburg and is located in a extinct volcano, dating back over 1000 million years. The park offers a wide diversity of free-roaming animal species, including elephant, hippo, rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah and buffalo, 350 bird species and 54 reptile species as well as thousands of other interesting smaller animals.

The Pilanesberg National Park is the fourth largest national park in South Africa and is set high in the Pilanesberg mountain range, neighbouring the Sun City complex (famous for golf, watersports and casino). The volcanic basin provides a number of interesting habitats for the varied fauna and flora of the park.

Pilanesberg park is also a malaria free area.

The Tour includes traveling time to and from Pilanesberg to JHB & Pretoria. A guided tour looking for animals and stopping at some game hides to view animals at the water holes.
